Mexican Pasta Skillet

Ingredients

Directions

In 12-inch skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in salsa, tomato sauce and water. Heat to boiling. Stir in macaroni and corn. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until macaroni is tender. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover, let stand 1 to 2 minutes or until chesse is melted.

Notes

This is one of our family favorites. We also like to add tortilla chips before the cheese to give it some crunch. My kids are always asking for seconds.

I make a dish somewhat like this but I add a package of taco seasoning mix to it & when I have them, I add: kidney beans ( not drained) or black beans (drained & rinsed well).. Then you have everything in there.. **I also make my kids what we call Pizza Quesadilla's... I just add Pepperoni (coarsely Chopped), cheese (for spicy/ or to add some kick you can use montery Jack Cheese w/ Jalapeno Peppers, & we add mushrooms (from the can) & I use spaghetti sauce instead of salsa... You can add anything to these that you would eat/like on your pizza...Enjoy!

Easy recipe, however the instructions are very confusing. First line says to brown the BEEF??? Isn't this a TURKEY, with NO BEEF, dish? duh

Great way to make a meal for less money! Easy to fix and it tastes good too. I use ground beef.

I love Mexican meals and have been taught by someone who cooks authentic meals. I love one dish meals. I think the ones I've chosen are ideal.

A family favorite that requires just the usual pantry staples and ground turkey or beef. We used turkey and everyone enjoyed it . Great crowd pleaser!
